Bloggers block

I have been accused of having blogger's block. (Okay, so it's been a really long time since I have posted anything.....but still, let's just say I am on leave of absence) In reality, I have just become a really, really lazy picture-taker. I am attributing this laziness to the fact that I need a new camera. I think a really nice, fancy-schmancy digital SLR would inspire me. (hint, hint, anyone out there with a few extra hundees lying around for my birthday.)

Well, I'll catch you up on all new developments in the life of me and D since my last posting, prior to my bout of blogger's block. As most of you know Derek and I are finally moving to Anchorage. After years of trying to get me to move, I have finally run out of lame excuses to stay in Seattle. They have a Target there now, so I decided I could give Anchorage a whirl.

I think it took until I actually landed a job up there until any of the family believed us. We have been saying we are going to go there for so long that everyone has been kind of skeptical. Like we'll believe it when we see it... But it's official, and it's soon. We are headed north! And we are both really excited about it!

The hardest part is that we both love Seattle so much, and have made such a great group of friends here. We'll come back a lot, I promise. It is going to be so bittersweet to leave; we are so excited to finally settle down and buy a house, unpack all the storage boxes finally, stay in one place for more than a year, get magazine subscriptions, all the finer things in life. But we are leaving a place we love, and at a very important time in the lives of some of our friends. We'll just be a quick flight away. (and Alaska makes a great vacation destination, hint hint)

  1. my babies will be popcicles if we visit alaska too soon. Do you think Target will carry parkas? Will they have a summer line? will you ever see the sun again? We will make sure to tell Eme and Marlo all about the mythical pals we once had G&D. You will be like Snuffy from Seasame street! Can you tell, I am still not on board with this cockamamey idea!!!!!
