Flattop

After one rainout, we finally made it to the top of this local mountain, Flattop. It's definitely the most popular hike in town, but understandably so. It's only a 5-10 minute drive from our place and you can make it up and down in a couple hours. (However, what I didn't know was that it was hand over hand climbing at the top. Scary!) I am pretty sure I was the only one that was scared though, because there were people running up and down it. Show offs! Halfway up the mountain. This is a natural bench. Or I'm sure no one knows how it got there, sort of like stonehedge.

Derek with the city in the background (looking like he's going to fall off the edge of the mountain...)

I decided I was going to just stay up there, no need to risk going back down. Too scary.... this patch of grass will make a fine place to live.
