Vacation...again

We set off on yet another vacation in the middle of October. Yes, if you're asking, it is a rough life.
Eva went MVP on Alaska airlines after this trip. (Well, if they had that for lap babies she would've anyways. All they gave her was a pair of wings.)
This was the longest vacation any of us has ever been on. Probably the most exhausting, too!
And one of the most fun!
We first spent 9 days in Southern California. Spent a couple days in LA with Nathalie, then a week in San Diego with family and friends.
Then we crashed a wedding in Orange County. Left Eva overnight for the first time with Nay Nay.
Mommy and daddy enjoyed the open margarita bar at the wedding...
I survived leaving Eva for the night, although I was up at 5:30 am. Ready to go pick her up.
( I don't think that was the time Derek had in mind...)
Eva loved the beach, loved the ocean, hated the sun. It was cloudy and 60 when we went to the beach and she was in heaven.
She picked lemons with great-grandpa Hopewell, dodged rattlesnakes at the park, and met Barney at Teddy's birthday party. Not the real one though, don't be crazy. He's very busy.

We also sat in traffic a lot.

Then we took a 6 day "layover" in Seattle. Well, 4 days in Seattle and 2 in Bellingham to be exact. (see why I'm so tired?) Apparently this is the only way to economically visit Seattle from Anchorage. Way cheaper to go to LA than Seattle. It's bananas.

Eva met some new little friends and played her little butt-ski off. We shopped. We walked. We ate and ate and ate.

I'm so sorry to everyone in Seattle we didn't get to see. 6 days is short. We'll catch you next time. I was ready to move back. I was ready to sell my house here and buy one there.
Apply to a job back at children's. Give up my car and walk everywhere again.
But my young daughter missed her bed. 15 days in a pack and play was too much for her too handle.
And she was right. It's good to be home.
I miss everyone so so so much.
We'll come back soon. I promise.
Gotta maintain Alaska airlines MVP status after all, right?
